In-Trial Services

TAMS jury consultants function as members of the trial team, incorporating pre-trial case research and insights into case presentation at trial.

We are able to work with the trial team during all aspects of the trial, from jury selection, opening statements, examination of witnesses, and closing argument, to assist in delivering a consistent and persuasive trial message.

Our services free up the trial team to focus on the many tasks at hand during trial.

Jury Selection
Our services during jury selection maximize the benefits of pre trial research, and our experience in other similar cases. Jurors can be observed by the consultant to provide valuable feedback to the trial team, that most often cannot be observed while in the “heat of the battle.”

Non-verbal cues are observed, that can be extremely valuable to the trial team, that otherwise may have been missed. This information provides the trial team with valuable insight into how the prospective jurors really perceive the process. We provide our observations and insight to make the jury selection process and de-selection strategy using a more informed approach to assist the trial team.

Trial Observation and Consultation
During the course of the trial, our consultants can remain in the courtroom to observe all, or selected parts of the trial. We can assist with final witness preparation and modification of witness presentation, while gauging juror reaction. We can offer useful advice to counsel from an outside perspective that most often is not possible while the trial team is “ in the heat of the battle.” We can assist the trial team to determine what evidence to emphasize, clarify or to move away from during trial.

Spectator (“Shadow”) Jurors
We can provide spectator or “shadow” jurors who are specially selected to provide daily feedback for the trial team that usually provides valuable insight regarding how the trial jurors may be interpreting or ‘taking in” the evidence. Necessary adjustments can be made during trial to the case presentation so that case results are maximized.
